Our Mission

Our mission is to alleviate the problem of homelessness in Sumner County, including Gallatin, Hendersonville and Portland, TN, by:

  • Providing emergency and transitional services to homeless families and individuals
  • Educating the public about the problems of and solutions to homelessness
  • Working to improve the systems and conditions that contribute to homelessness

How We Help

Good Neighbor Mission is a nonprofit organization supported by the United Way of Sumner County and funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee. We support families who have lost permanent housing by offering shelter, stability and education. In addition, we provide referrals and financial assistance in emergencies to prevent loss of housing and/or utilities.
